A medium-length stage with a moderate elevation gain connects the two main centers of the Veglia Devero Natural Park. From the Rifugio Città di Arona, you ascend the valley carved by the Rio Frua until reaching the Passo di Valtendra at an elevation of 2431 meters. You leave the now-abandoned trail to the left to descend into the Valle Bondoleve and then climb to the Scatta d’Orogna at an altitude of 2200 meters. From here, descending towards Alpe Buscagna, you reach the beautiful basin of Alpe Devero. This location has been closed to vehicle traffic since it was connected to the valley floor by a cable car. Even after the construction of the road, it was decided to stop cars at the entrance to the village and reserve access to the area for pedestrians.
