A long stage with intermediate elevation gain, featuring a series of ups and downs that lead to the heights overlooking the city of Pistoia. From Montepiano, the trail climbs along the valley formed by the Torrente Setta, leading to Alpe di Cavarzano, where it continues until reaching the Apennine ridge near Monte delle Lamacce. From here, the route goes to Monte delle Scalette, heading south and passing through Poggio di Roncomannaio, Poggio alla Croce, Poggio la Zucca, Poggio Cattarelle, and Poggio delle Piastre. After visiting the Rifugio Luigi Pacini, the path winds around the summit of Monte Bucciana, finally arriving at Cascina di Spedaletto after crossing Passo degli Acquiputoli.
