SI E50

This short stage with limited elevation drop descends into Val Mastallone, passing near the village of Fobello and continuing to Rimella. From Alpe Baranca, the trail descends past the spectacular Baranca waterfalls until reaching the hamlet of La Gazza, where a cart road is taken that leads to the fraction of La Piana. A rising path is taken on the left that crosses several hamlets before reaching Alpe Res and a saddle from which the descent to Rimella begins. The village of Fobello is worth a visit, as it is the birthplace of Vincenzo Lancia, founder of the eponymous automotive company.
