After the ancient huts of Codera, you arrive at the fork where the Sentiero Italia descends to the bridge over the Codera stream to the right, while Sentiero Roma continues towards the Luigi Brasca Refuge, owned by CAI Milan, which can be reached in about 1 hour and 30 minutes along a valley floor path. The first can be walked by everyone, while the second is recommended for experienced hikers equipped with gear from the Luigi Brasca Refuge onwards. The Sentiero Roma is a high trail that winds along the head of Val Masino and allows access to the Omio, Gianetti, Bonaccossa, and Ponti refuges. Both routes reconnect in Valmalenco at the Bosio refuge near Alpe Airale after 4 or 5 stages. After crossing the bridge over Codera, you also pass the characteristic one of Val Ladrogno, after which the path rises to Cii (m. 851), a charming area where you continue through the forest until reaching an altitude of 910 m, where you intercept the Tracciolino path. This is an artificial route built in the 1930s to connect the dam of Val Codera to that of Val Dei Ratti. Keeping to the right, the Tracciolino allows you to cross Val Grande, reaching the foot of the ascent to the left towards Cola. Here you leave the Tracciolino, and after crossing the core of Cola, you descend to the right on the path leading to the Revelaso valley and continue on the opposite side with a slightly exposed passage. Continuing west-southwest, you reach San Giorgio di Cola (m. 749), and turning left at the village washhouse, you ascend to the cemetery. Now a small path climbs directly east and reconnects with the Tracciolino. We follow it to the right, arriving at a series of tunnels carved into the rock. After several bends and some bridges that allow us to cross small valleys, some glimpses of Val dei Ratti start to appear. The Tracciolino ends at the house of the dam guardians of Moledana in Val dei Ratti, from where a lovely mule track ascends to Frasnedo.
