From Su Niu and S'Achili begins a challenging ups and downs on Monte Carareddu through the Bruncu Muscadroxu plateau, following Monte Genis and Monte Serpeddì. This is a demanding stage in terms of length and elevation gain, mostly taking place on dirt and paved roads. It concludes in Burcei, a village with a pastoral vocation, whose name comes from "burrei," meaning a herd of oxen.
