Hiking
With a long stage featuring significant elevation gain, we reach the state border with Austria, which we follow parallelly through the Comelico region, heading towards Cadore. From Rifugio Rinfreddo, we ascend near the summit of Col Quaterna and head towards Passo Silvella at an altitude of 2309 meters. From here, we turn east, skirting the left bank of Torrente Digon, parallel to the peaks marking the border with Austria. After a long traverse, we encounter Passo Palombino at 2035 meters before turning north towards the namesake peak, which we do not reach, instead descending eastward towards Casera Dignas.
