SI B05

This moderately long stage with elevation gain circumnavigates the Cristallo Group, traversing a part of the Cortina d'Ampezzo ski area. Starting from the Ospitale Refuge, it enters a wooded valley that extends at the foot of the southwestern slopes of the Cristallo. On the opposite side, one can see significant Dolomite peaks such as Pomagagnon. Continuing uphill, the route encounters the first ski facilities, before descending to the road pass of Passo Tre Croci. After a brief stretch along the main road, the trail on the left leads up to Forcella Popena, hugging the southeastern slopes of the Cristallo Group. From the last pass of the day, a descent remains towards the village of Misurina with its beautiful lake.
