Hiking
From the Luino pier, you walk through the historic center and reach the Carnella area via paved road, where you enter the scenic path leading to Colmegna, by the lake. The trail continues up the hill behind Colmegna and goes through the woods overlooking the lake until you arrive at Maccagno, where you walk along the lakeside until you reach the climbing gym "Il Cinzanino." The path climbs towards Pianca, Sarangio, Musignano (760m), and then descends towards Bassano (540m), always with views of the lake. You can also reach Bassano via a variant that ascends from Pino Lago Maggiore, accessible by train from Luino and about 1.5 km from the Zenna border with Switzerland. From Bassano, you take the mule track that quickly gains elevation through dense woods until reaching the northern dam of Lake Delio, where the Albergo Diana is located.
