Another medium-length stage with a slight elevation gain, characterized by numerous short ups and downs, leading you into the heart of the Tosco-Emiliano Apennine National Park. Leaving the CAI Cesare Battisti Refuge, from the Lama Lite Pass, you regain the ridge line of the Apennines by following trail 633, keeping Monte Cusna on your right with its characteristic profile of the sleeping giant, as well as the valley formed by the Ozola Stream, passing by the Bargetana Refuge and arriving at the historic Romecchio Pass. Before reaching the summit of Le Porraie, you leave the ridge line (trail 00) and descend into Emilia (trails 639A > 639) with a long traverse that leads to the Comunella Pass. From here, you go around the summit of Monte Asinara on the Tuscan side and reach the road pass of Pradarena and the Carpe Diem refuge/hotel, a checkpoint L17.
