The Sentiero Italia CAI crosses into nearby Switzerland for the first time. In the 13th century, the Walser people from Formazza moved across the mountains and founded Bosco Gurin. From the Ponte area, you descend to Fondovalle, where the ascent begins along a steep path to the Guriner Furggu. From here, you descend to Bosco Gurin, passing through Grossalp.
