Hiking
The journey begins from the village of Monti, near the Vermentino winery. After covering just under 2 km on an asphalt road with local traffic, the path transitions to a dirt track that stretches for about 2.3 km. From this point, the route follows a trail for a little over a kilometer, until reaching the Sos Sambinzos area (where there are two fords over the Crasta river). Here, we resume on a dirt track that will take us through a private property (equipped with steps installed in the fence) into the Monte Olia state forest. Within the forest, there are numerous paths, varying in usage, for personnel, including for fire management. In this section, a small detour is planned to the source "Pedra Bianca" and to a fairly comfortable and freely accessible shelter used by Fo.Re.S.T.A.S. After retracing the short stretch that led us to the spring, we continue on a dirt road towards the ford on the Seleme river. This river forms stunning natural pools along its course, known as “Salomone,” some of which are near the ford. After crossing the river, we ascend a trail developed within a firebreak, continuing on a dirt road until we reach the "Bolostiu" forest station. If the Seleme river is impassable, it is necessary to head into the forest area towards the forest station of Monte Olia, adjacent to S.S. 389, which connects Monti with Alà dei Sardi, and resume on the trail using the paved road to the village of Badde Suelzu.
