Agriturismo San Simeone is located in the historic center of the municipality of Piaggine (SA), just a few meters from the waterfall on the Calore River, topped by an ancient medieval stone bridge. It lies directly on the route of the "Sentiero Italia," which leads to the summit of Monte Cervati. The cuisine offered is seasonal and reflects the principles of the Mediterranean diet, which originated in the Cilento region. The location is particularly beautiful, as the agriturismo has been finely restored from a small church dating back to 1200, dedicated to the Orthodox rite of San Simeone practiced by the Basilian monks. Additionally, the agriturismo features a Private Nature Reserve within the "Gole del Calore di Piaggine," covering approximately 350,000 square meters and boasting over 20 km of trails, including the "silence trail" that runs both along the river and on the ridge, featuring panoramic areas, bandit caves, and the stunning "valley of butterflies." Reservations are mandatory for lunch/dinner as well as for overnight stays at affiliated local accommodations.
