La Casciara

N/A
The Agriturismo La Casciara is located in Renzetti San Giustino (PG), at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. Surrounded by greenery at the border of Umbria and Marche, the agriturismo takes its name from the place where cheese was once stored for aging. It is situated in a quiet and panoramic location, surrounded by pastures and mostly by forests frequented by local wildlife (wild boars, hares, deer, porcupines…). The farmhouse, an ancient estate of the Bufalini marquises (a noble family from the 16th century), has recently been renovated into a comfortable agriturismo where silence and tranquility reign, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle. Agriturismo La Casciara is strategically located. It is possible to reach the magnificent towns of Umbria and Tuscany within a 30-minute drive. For example, Citerna and Anghiari, both recognized among the most beautiful villages in Italy, or Sansepolcro, Monterchi, and Città di Castello, which preserve works by Piero della Francesca, considered one of the protagonists of the Italian Renaissance, and Alberto Burri, regarded as one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century. The Sentiero Italia can be reached in just a minute's walk. Excursions can be undertaken to some peaks of the Apennines. For instance, one can reach the Bocca Trabaria pass, standing at 1049 meters above sea level, with a 10-kilometer hike.
