Rifugio CAI Monte Maggio

The Monte Maggio social hut is a self-managed refuge owned by the CAI of Gualdo Tadino (PG). It is located in Valsorda, along the Bagnara - Valsorda stage, at the foot of the mountain of the same name, at an altitude of about 1020 m. The refuge features electric heating, a wood-burning fireplace, hot water, and two dormitories, accommodating a total of 20 beds with mattresses on wooden platforms. There are two bathrooms with showers, a kitchen, and a dining room, as well as a barbecue. In Valsorda, just a few meters from the structure, there is a campsite, a restaurant, a playground, a non-swimming lake, and other refuges managed by the local Comunanza Agraria Appennino Gualdese.
