Rifugio Casa Santicchio

N/A
The Rifugio Casa Santicchio is located in the province of Arezzo in Tuscany, surrounded by oak and beech forests that extend to the Sanctuary of La Verna, where St. Francis lived for a long time and received the stigmata. This rural farmhouse, far from roads, lights, and noise, has witnessed countless pilgrims heading to Rome since the year 1000, traversing the paths of the Via Major (or Via Romea di Stade), and more recently, pilgrims traveling from the Eremo di Camaldoli to the Sanctuary of Chiusi della Verna, to continue on the Cammino di Assisi. The Rifugio Casa Santicchio offers double, triple, quadruple rooms, and dormitories. The Association Una Valle che Cammina promotes responsible tourism, the slow discovery of the region's many treasures, and a simpler lifestyle closer to nature, respecting the environment and others, encouraging a more solidarity-based economy.
