The Osteria Alpina is a cozy refuge located at an altitude of 850 meters in the heart of Val Codera, in the province of Sondrio. The valley is an ideal place for a walk in the granite world and for a relaxing stop along the paths of Sentiero Roma, Sentiero Italia, or Via Geoalpina. The refuge is situated in the center of Codera, a charming and secluded village that feels timeless, with its granite houses. The village is permanently inhabited by a handful of locals, lacks road access, and is therefore reachable only on foot. The Osteria offers bar service and features a spacious dining room, warmed by the fireplace during the cold months. Additionally, there is a more intimate adjoining room, open on busier days or available upon request for other activities. Outside, the tables shaded by the pergola of American grapes invite visitors to take a break and provide a beautiful view of the village and the valley, in the presence of the imposing Sasso Manduino. The refuge has heated rooms, running hot and cold water, a shower, and the possibility of internet connection upon request. A small library, tourist publications, and informative materials about the valley are available, as well as a bocce court and board games.
