Stazzo Lu Furracu

N/A
The stazzo is the typical rural settlement of Gallura, characterized by the extreme dispersion of the population across the territory. The early settlers, instead of establishing villages, chose to spread out in tiny family units throughout Gallura, often several kilometers apart, and these units had to be entirely self-sufficient. Stazzu Lu Furracu is an old stazzo abandoned in the 1960s and miraculously spared from the questionable renovations in 'Smeraldian' style. The owners undertook a careful restoration that preserved the marks left by time on the old structures. Location The stazzo is located in the 'retreats,' sheltered from the clamors of the coast, which is nevertheless reachable in just a few minutes: About 8 km to the east is Rena Majore beach, the first in a long series of pristine beaches stretching for over 10 km. 10 km to the north lies the marina of Porto Pozzo, from where you can embark on tours of the La Maddalena archipelago or rent a motorboat. Accommodation In this setting, two small houses are available, accommodating 4 guests (1 double bed and 1 bunk bed), equipped with a kitchen, veranda, and bathroom for organizing a stay independently. Both are listed on Airbnb as 'quiet and traditional' or 'tradition and tranquility.' Additionally, Stazzu Lu Furracu offers a double room with an exclusive external bathroom. The houses are furnished with old furniture and are fully equipped, including linens (sheets, towels, etc.). There are no televisions or air conditioning systems, as we believe these are contrary to our way of experiencing the countryside, which focuses on minimizing consumption, waste, and pollution. For this reason, we have installed a photovoltaic system to produce electricity, a solar-powered pump for the well, wood heating, and we recycle treated water for the garden's subsurface irrigation.
