We leave Casera Nischiuarch and now take path 739, heading downhill into a deciduous forest. The descent is briefly interrupted by crossing a steep gully before continuing through short stretches of meadows with remnants of abandoned huts. Further on, we cross the normally dry Roncat stream, then into the shady woods of Plagna Bassa, and finally the trail ends at SS 646 (Tarcento-Slovenia border). We ascend for about 500 m along the state road to find on the left the starting point of path 711, which quickly ascends through a beech forest. At a fork, we leave the main trail and take the left onto path 711 A. Initially on a gentle incline and then more steeply, we gain elevation until we reach a grassy area and then the Ricovero ANA Montemaggiore. From the Ricovero, we continue for a short stretch on path 711. Along the ridge, we turn left on path 742 towards P.ta Montemaggiore and the junction with path 712. We continue to the right on path 742, descending decisively into grassy terrain. Further down, the trail runs among the dwarf pines, then descends through gravel before entering a forest where it meets a forest road that leads into the village of Montemaggiore.
