From the village of Montemaggiore (fountain), trail 744 begins. The path descends towards the fords of the Rio Lemagna and the Rio Bianco, climbs to the area of Tanacertegna (ruins), and then descends along the forest road until the third ford of the Rio Bianco. Continuing on, you will reach the confluence of the Rio Bianco and the Rio Nero, which gives rise to the Natisone River. The forest road continues through a broadleaf forest, reaching Ponte Vittorio Emanuele, Casali Gasperini (ruins), and eventually the village of Prossenicco.
