Hiking
Leaving from Repen, we take a short stretch along trail 024. At an intersection with an asphalt road, we find trail 042 and take it to the right to reach the village of Col and trail 003. We follow this trail underneath Monte Orsario to arrive at the Fernetti pass. After passing the truck terminal and next to the abyss of Trebiciano, we ascend Monte Franco and Monte dei Pini, before passing by the settlement of Gropada. We continue intermittently close to the border with Slovenia until we reach the fork with trail 044. We take this trail into the Igouza forest, eventually arriving at Basovizza; we cross it aiming towards the Sincrotone area, where nearby is the Basovizza naturalistic educational center and the bus stop for Trieste.
