The final stage in the Veneto region is long and features intermediate elevation gain. From the Casera Dignas pasture, the trail proceeds at mid-altitude first north and then east, passing by Malga Campobon and continuing for a long stretch parallel to the watershed that marks the state border between Italy and Austria. Skirting around the summit of Col Chiastelin, the path continues to follow a contour line with gentle ups and downs, tracing a wide “S” around the summit of Col della Varda. From here, the route follows the valley until reaching the border at Passo dell’Oregone, passing through Passo del Cartello and concluding at Passo Sesis, above Rifugio Calvi.
