A very long but essential stage to cross from Val di Peio to Val di Rabbi. Start early! From Peio village, follow the long secondary road that runs along the right orographic side of the Val de la Mare until Maso Torbi. After a short stretch leading to Malga Mare, you will reach Malga Pontevecchio (1764 m), where trail 140B begins, leading up to Malga Verdignana and Passo Cercen (2608 m), which can be reached via trail 109. You will enjoy a beautiful view of Monte Cevedale and Vioz. During the descent, you will pass through Malga Cercen alta (2146 m) with its vast pastures, reached by the forest road that we will follow down to Malga Cercen bassa (1969 m) and the bottom of Val Cercen until reaching the Fontanon parking area (1554 m). Still, three kilometers on the road, through the fir woods at the foot of Monte Polinar, before finally arriving in the valley bottom at Bagni di Rabbi with its large thermal complex.
