Hiking
From Salorno, follow the road to Laghetti until reaching the historic center, where a small path coincides with the Dürerweg. This path leads to the Roman Bridge, an ancient crossing over the Laukusbach gorge. Continue through beautiful vineyards until you reach the hamlet of Pochi-Buchholz (550 m), which offers a panoramic view of the Adige valley. A series of ups and downs precedes the long climb to the Sauch Refuge (912 m), near a large hunting area. Continuing through a complex system of trails and paths, following the signs to Lago Santo, you will reach your destination (1208 m). This area is located in the Cembra Mountains, a ridge of porphyry covered with beech and conifer forests, interspersed with grassy clearings and marshy hollows that host valuable natural biotopes. Traversing this unique landscape, follow signs 415 and the European Path No. 5, passing through the localities of Zise (1245 m) and Selva (1240 m), until reaching the Potzmauer Refuge (1289 m). The refuge is situated in a large clearing near the Potzmauer Pass. To shorten the initial part of the stage by about an hour, it is possible to ascend directly from Salorno to Pochi by following path 1.
