With this short stage and minimal elevation gain, the Sentiero Italia Cai moves towards the first Dolomite massif: the Latemar. Starting from the village of Oberradein/Redagno di Sopra, the trail leads through the forest, first on flat ground, then with a steep ascent to reach the plateau at around 2000 meters above sea level, nestled between the peaks of Weisshorn/Corno Bianco and Schwartzhorn/Corno Nero. Here lies the small ski resort of Jochgrimm/Passo Oclini. Following a gently descending path, we make our way to Passo di Lavazè at the base of the first slopes of Latemar.
