From Passo Rolle, having left behind the Lagorai group, you enter the Dolomite territory of the Pale di San Martino. You ascend along a dirt road and an adjacent path through the vast meadows of Costazza until reaching Passo della Costazza (2174 m) and Capanna Segantini, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Cimon della Pala, Cima Vezzana, Cima dei Bureloni, and other main peaks of the Pale range. You then descend along the dirt road and path to the head of the Val Venegia, crossing the picturesque plateau of Campigolo della Vezzana (1885 m). Here, you take trail 749, which traverses the forest at the foot of the west face of Monte Mulaz and climbs through extensive meadows up to Passo Venegia (2217 m), before descending along trail 751 to Passo Valles (2032 m). From here, following itinerary 658, you regain altitude among the porphyries of the Bocche range. Upon reaching Forcella Pradazzo (2223 m), a spectacular view of the eastern Dolomites opens up. The route continues at altitude to the Pale de Cargol (2204 m), from where you diagonally descend, crossing the slopes of Col Margherita, ultimately arriving at Passo San Pellegrino (1919 m).
