SI D07

Another stage along the heights overlooking Lake Lugano, featuring a moderate length and a notable elevation gain. From Porto Ceresio, head east towards the Swiss border, before turning south around the summit of Monte Casolo. Upon reaching the area near Rio Vallone, the trail turns east again and begins to ascend with wide switchbacks up to the summit of Monte Pravello, approximately 1000 meters above sea level. From here, follow the route of the Linea Cadorna and descend towards the village of Viggiù.
