Once again, with a medium-length stage and reduced elevation gain, the Sentiero Italia proceeds eastward parallel to the border with Switzerland, reaching the city of Como on the shores of the lake. Farmland, woods, and hills characterize the route that starts from Bizzarone and first follows a cart road before continuing on a trail towards Ronago. This is followed by a stretch on cart road and the ascent towards Poggio Bruciato, which runs alongside the border until reaching the Seveso stream. A final ascent leads to the Belvedere Sasso di Cavallasca, followed by a descent to Monte Olimpino near Como. Here, the Sentiero Italia splits into two branches while the stage continues along the lake until reaching Como.
