Another long stage with significant elevation gain continues north along the heights that separate Lake Como from Lake Lugano. Leaving behind the Prabello Refuge, the route reaches the carriage road near Pian delle Alpi, following a long winding path, passing the farms Ermogna and Carolza and the Capanna Bruno Refuge, skirting around Pizzo della Croce and reaching the village of Orimento. After passing Monte Prada, a steep descent begins, leading the trail to the village of San Fedele Intelvi. Arriving in the center of San Fedele Intelvi, the path follows the road in front of the parish house (passing by the local CAI section headquarters) until reaching the Selva area. The journey then continues with a steep ascent along a cobblestone road until the start of the mule path. Continuing along this path, one arrives at the farms La Zerla, and after crossing the pine forest, one reaches the Bassetta area. After a brief descent, crossing the carriage road coming from Alpe di Colonno, one enters a dense pine forest until reaching above Alpe Boffalora.
