Hiking
A very long stage with significant elevation gain that heads north along the western shore of Lake Como. From Cardano, the route ascends to the summit of Ciap del Castel, then circles around to reach the hamlet of Prato Stella, then Breglia, the Rifugio la Preda, and descends into the hamlet of Carcente. From here, the ascent resumes, continuing at an intermediate level along the slopes above the lake, crossing a series of hamlets and villages, until reaching an altitude of 1300 meters where a long descent to Garzeno begins.
