Hiking
This short stage is characterized by a descent only and leaves the Grigna heading east into Valsassina. From the Brioschi Refuge, the path heads south towards the Bocchetta della Bassa, where the Ugo Merlini Bivouac is located. Turning east, the trail descends from the high altitudes passing by the Antonietta Refuge and continuing down to the village of Pasturo, mentioned in Alessandro Manzoni's "The Betrothed" as the hometown of Agnese, mother of Lucia Mondella.
