With a short stage and moderate elevation gain, one enters the beautiful and wild Val Codera, completely devoid of paved roads. The route follows the extraordinary path that gains elevation through a steep series of hairpin bends and steps carved into the rock. For some stretches, the trail runs near the cable car connecting Novate and Codera. Upon reaching the halfway point, it's worth visiting the historical, ethnographic, and natural museum of Val Codera, and it's possible to stay overnight at the Osteria Alpino located in the center of the village.
