With this stage, we will reach the Longoni refuge, effectively entering the Bernina group. From Alpe Ventina, we descend to the valley floor, passing through Alpe di Forbicina and Laresin, entering the wild Val Sissone, which we ascend, crossing woods, pastures, and finally the moraines that precede the Del Grande-Camerini refuge. From this vantage point on the north face of Monte Disgrazia, we descend past the Vazzeda Alps, crossing the stream on a small bridge, and heading towards the village of Chiareggio. After passing a small church adorned with a plaque commemorating the famous climber Ettore Castiglioni and his tragic end, we ascend towards Alpe Fora, from where a steep climb leads to the Piani di Fora. The picturesque glacial plateau curves to the northwest, intercepting the path that quickly leads to Rifugio Longoni. Alternatively, if one wishes to avoid losing too much altitude by descending to Chiareggio, from Alpe Vazzeda Superiore, it is possible to reach the opposite Alpe dell'Oro and continue along the ridge towards Alpe di Fora and the Longoni refuge.
