Hiking
The stage of medium length and moderate elevation gain takes you into the heart of the high mountains at the foot of Pizzo Bernina. Leaving Lago Palù, a short ascent leads along the ski slopes, which you descend until reaching the departure of the cable car that ascends to Monte Motta. Here, you turn north and begin the long climb that will only end at Rifugio Marinelli Bombardieri at an altitude of 2813 meters. Along the way, you first reach Rifugio Musella and then Carate Brianza, where you can take intermediate breaks. At the end of the stage, you can observe the high-altitude environments dominated by glaciers and Pizzo Bernina, the easternmost peak of the Alps that rises above 4000 meters.
