This stage takes you to the slopes of Valtellina with a rather long route, but featuring little elevation gain. From the Cederna Maffina Refuge, the trail descends along the course of the Fontana Torrent, passing by the beautiful 'Cascada de Furam', the Alpe Campascio, and the Piana dei Cavalli until reaching the village of Sant'Antonio. A gentle ascent continues along a path to the locality of Dalico, where you gain the south-facing slope that overlooks the Valtellina valley and the Orobie Valtellinesi mountains. Continuing along the hiking trail known as Sentiero del Sole, you will arrive at the town of Prato Valentino, where the ski lifts of Alpe Teglio begin.
