Hiking
The hike starts from Rifugio Campo (2000 m) following the signs to Baita del Pastore, leaving behind green pastures and the last characteristic huts of Val Zebru'. Upon reaching the Baita (a water point with a picnic area), the trail splits. Heading left, the path continues to Rifugio Quinto Alpini (2877 m), a historic refuge of Cai Milano. Located on a rocky spur at the foot of the Zebru' glacier, this refuge serves as a destination and base for hikers and climbers, as well as a welcoming point on the Sentiero Italia. Alternatively, going right and following the signs to Passo Zebru', the trail gently ascends, crossing numerous streams, and leaving the green pastures for a more barren and stony landscape. A short section of rocky steps is navigated with the help of metal ropes before proceeding on a less steep path, which may still be snowy for part of the summer season. Upon reaching Passo Zebru' (3010 m), the view stretches from Gran Zebru' (3857 m) to the Forni glacier up to the Tredici Cime. The descent continues towards Val Cedec; first heading toward Rifugio Pizzini (2706 m) and then crossing the stream along the path that gently descends to Rifugio Branca (2493 m).
