After a long series of lengthy stages with significant elevation gain, the penultimate stage in Lombardy presents intermediate length and elevation gain. From the Branca Hut, you descend towards Santa Caterina Valfurva on the left bank, passing by the Malga Salettina, not far from the Forni hotel hut, and then continue along the S525 trail until the fork for the Stella Alpina Hut. From here, you continue on the S525 trail, which ascends to the peak of Dosso Tresero, avoiding descending the valley along the road. You turn decisively south along the gorge that leads first to the Berni Hut, continuing along the state road to reach the Gavia Pass and the Bonetta Hut. Soon, a trail will be built connecting the Berni Hut to the Gavia Pass, passing on the right bank of Lake Bianco.
