A classic mountain path, this short stage features a moderate elevation gain, ascending to the pass and descending into the next valley. From Limonetto, the trail leads through Ciabot del Pedù and Pian Madoro to the Passo di Ciotto Mieu at an altitude of 2274 meters. Here, you enter the territory of the Parco Naturale delle Alpi Marittime, where the descent begins, following the lake degli Alberghi and descending along the stream of Valle Granda until reaching the village of Palanfrè, where Rifugio L’Arbergh is located for overnight stays.
