This moderately long stage features a slight descent as it descends into the hiker's paradise of Val Maira. Starting from the Sanctuary of San Magno, a climbing path leads hikers to the ridge that separates Val Grana from Val Maira. After a stretch where the trail runs almost level, the descent toward the village of Celle di Macra begins. In Borgata Chiesa, the Locanda Maraman stopover is located, which is part of the Percorsi Occitani, a hiking initiative established over 30 years ago aimed at enhancing the tourism offerings for walking enthusiasts and supporting the economy of Val Maira.
