Hiking
A medium-length stage with elevation gain runs along the right hydrographic side of the Val Maira, following a well-marked section of the Occitan Paths. Starting from the hamlet of Celle di Macra, the route descends to where the road crosses the stream with a hairpin turn, then takes the uphill trail that goes through a series of villages, passing below the Palent. The path traverses the northern-exposed slopes of Val Maira, crossing a series of side valleys until it begins the descent that leads directly to Bassura di Stroppo, along the Maira stream.
