The segment serves as an approach to the Aosta Valley stretch. From Villa Poma, head south, moving away from Lake Ceresole. You reach Alpe Loslà where you turn sharply west, crossing wet areas and skirting some small lakes. After reaching Col di Nel, you descend into the valley floor which you follow downhill until you reach the Jervis hut.
