With a medium-length route and a descent-only elevation change, you make your way to the bottom of the Anzasca Valley, near the town of Macugnaga. From the Lanti Bivouac, you traverse to Alpe Schena and descend towards the stream, which you reach near Alpe La Piana. Following the valley floor, you arrive at the C.A.I. social hut of the Piedimulera section in the area of Crocette (former gold mining factory) and continue on flat ground until you reach Lake of the Fairies and the village of Quarazza, where there are two restaurants. From here, you cross to the Motta village before descending to the Anzasca stream to reach the hamlet of Staffa. The itinerary mostly develops along the legendary mule track built by the legendary Intra battalion of the Alpine Corps of the Royal Italian Army.
