With an intermediate length stage and a reduced elevation gain, the route crosses into Switzerland until reaching the slopes of the upper Val Bognanco, always remaining above an altitude of 2000 meters and reconnecting with the main path of the Sentiero Italia. From the hut, the trail climbs steeply to the Passo di Andolla at an altitude of 2418 meters. Here, it crosses into Swiss territory, traversing at the base of Pizzo del Busin until reaching the Passo di Pontimia at an altitude of 2387 meters. The route then returns to Italian territory, passing under Pizzo Straciugo and continuing past the Laghi di Campo to arrive at Passo di Campo at an altitude of 2180 meters. A short but steep descent leads to the Rifugio Alpe Laghetto.
