This short stage, characterized by a significant positive elevation gain, takes you from the bottom of the Anzasca Valley (Molini di Calasca) up to the watershed with the Antrona Valley (Alpe della Colma). After a relatively flat section along the path that runs alongside the provincial road on the left bank of the valley, the true ascent begins at the hamlet of Porcareccia, first cutting across the hairpin turns of the road and passing through the areas of Crotto and Olino. The trail then continues through forests, crossing a series of now-abandoned pastures: La Barca, Prer, and Aloro, until reaching the high meadows and the refuge of the Municipality of Calasca Castiglione at Alpe della Colma, located in the homonymous pasture.
