Hiking
A short stage in terms of distance, with a drop solely downhill, transferring through the head of the Val Bognanco. From the Rifugio Alpe Laghetto, an initial descent takes hikers to Alpe Oriaccia, where a flat path circumnavigates Monte del Dente, leading to the Rifugio San Bernardo. The Val Bognanco is the closest valley to the town of Domodossola and is a well-known tourist destination thanks to its thermal waters. The mineral water from this area was the first in Italy to be bottled using a fully mechanized process in 1928.
