Hiking
A medium-length stage with a gentle elevation gain that transfers the Sentiero Italia to the slopes descending towards Lake Maggiore. From Re, a climbing path through dense forests leads to the village of Finero, where a short section enters one of the outliers of the Valgrande National Park. Established in 1992, this protected area is the largest wilderness zone in Italy, managed according to wilderness principles. Continuing through lush forests, you reach the settlements of Alpe Piazza and Gurro, from where a final ascent and descent lead to Falmenta in Val Cannobina.
