Attualmente non è presente segnaletica SICAI. Seguire quella delle AV1 e AV2. In periodo tardo primaverile inizio estate, prestare attenzione ai versanti esposti a NORD che potrebbero presentare ancora neve e quindi potenzialemente pericolosi.

A short stage with a significant elevation gain that connects the Rhêmes Valley with the nearby Valgrisenche. From Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, the trail ascends steeply in hairpin turns towards Col Finestra at 2840 meters above sea level. The valleys of the Gran Paradiso National Park are left behind, revealing a chain of mountains from Cima di Entrelor to Galisia, with the peak of Gran Paradiso peeking out in the background. Towards the northwest from the pass, the summit of Rutor stands out. A steep descent along typical high mountain terrain leads to the refuge.
