Attualmente non è presente segnaletica SICAI. Seguire quella delle AV1 e AV2. In periodo tardo primaverile inizio estate, prestare attenzione ai versanti esposti a NORD che potrebbero presentare ancora neve e quindi potenzialemente pericolosi.

A medium-length section characterized by a mostly downhill elevation change that leads the Sentiero Italia into the Val d'Ayas. From the Rifugio Grand Tournalin, you descend to the Alpe di Tournalin inferiore and then to the Alpe di Nana inferiore, passing by the ski facilities of Champoluc. Upon reaching the village of Saint Jacques des Allemands, you climb back up the opposite slope, visiting the Rifugio Guide di Frachey and arriving at the Alpe Ciarcerio. Continuing along the left side of the valley at a mid-level elevation, you reach the beautiful hamlet of Crest.
