Il Sentiero Italia CAI in Liguria ricalca l’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Pertanto dove non è eventualmente ancora presente specifica segnaletica SI si deve seguire quella dell’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri.
Passo dei Due Santi – Passo della Cappelletta The entrance to Liguria is marked by this moderately long stage with reduced elevation gain, which traverses the interesting crossroad where the Regions of Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, and Liguria meet. It starts at Passo dei Due Santi between the provinces of Parma and Massa Carrara, where the small ski resort of Zum Zeri is located. A short ascent leads to the summit of the ski slopes and then along the ridge, which is followed faithfully with a series of ups and downs until reaching Foce dei Tre Confini. This is the meeting point of the three Regions' borders, as well as a historical site where the pre-unitary border passed between the Republic of Genoa (later the Kingdom of Sardinia), the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, and the Duchy of Parma. From here, following a path with ups and downs but with negative elevation gain, you arrive at Passo della Cappelletta.
