SI G02

A short stage with a slight elevation that continues westward along the ridge separating the provinces of Parma and La Spezia. The route mostly follows the road connecting the Passo della Cappelletta to the Passo Cento Croci, passing through the Passo Scassella. At the end point of the stage, there is an impressive and important monument dedicated to the partisans who fell during World War II, belonging to the Cento Croci brigade, a partisan formation that split into two distinct groups at the end of January 1945: the Garibaldi brigade Cento Croci operating in the La Spezia area and the grouping of brigades of the Old Cento Croci operating in the Parma area.
