Il Sentiero Italia CAI in Liguria ricalca l’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Pertanto dove non è eventualmente ancora presente specifica segnaletica SI si deve seguire quella dell’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri.
A short stage with an elevation drop entirely downhill along the watershed that separates the Val d’Aveto from the basin of the Sturlo stream, which flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea between Chiavari and Lavagna. From Passo delle Lame, the trail descends to Passo Bisinella and continues downhill until Passo del Bozale. Here, a brief ascent leads near Monte Bozale. This is followed by a descent to Passo della Forcella. In the Middle Ages, it was a less frequented passage due to the last stretch on the Borzonasca side, which was very steep and rugged, and the routes that passed through Ramaceto and Ventarola into Val d'Aveto were more commonly used.
